Employee Benefits
VGS offers a comprehensive set of employee benefits, take a look at some of the highlights below:
Healthcare (Medical, Dental, Vision)
Full-time regular employees can choose from a PPO plan or a High Deductible HSA plan for their medical coverage at a very reasonable cost. The company also offers a comprehensive dental plan and vision services to employees and their dependents.
VGS contributes a portion of the deductible into an employee’s health savings account for those electing the high deductible health plan.
Flexible Spending Account Options
Employees may set aside up to $2,000 annually on a pre-tax basis for approved health care expenses and up to $5,000 for dependent care costs.
401K Retirement Plan
Employees may set aside pre-tax or post-tax money in our 401k Plan as soon as they start employment with us. VGS matches 60 percent of the first 5 percent of annual compensation that at employee contributes to the plan. In addition, VGS also contribute an additional amount equal to 4.5 percent of annual compensation. Employees are fully vested in the company match and employer contribution after five years of service.
Life Insurance
VGS provides a term life insurance policy in the amount of three times an employee’s annual base salary.
Short-Term & Long-Term Disability
VGS provides plans that provide employees with a percentage of their base salaries while they are out on disability.
Vacation
VGS employees accrue vacation time monthly. For the first 0 to 5 years of service, the accrual rate is 10 hours per month. That adds up to three weeks of vacation employees per year.
Sick Days
VGS provides 40 hours of paid sick leave every January 1. Employees may roll over all unused sick leave each year with no maximum limit.
Holidays and Personal Days
VGS offers eleven company-paid holidays and 16 hours of personal time each year.
Educational Assistance
VGS will reimburse 100 percent of the cost of tuition, books and associated fees for all approved courses or degree programs dependent upon the final grade earned, currently up to $10,000 per calendar year.
Bonus Program
Employees receive annual bonuses based on personal and company performance.

Giving Back
Our employees have always shown great support in the community. They are Board members and active participants in many organizations such as United Way, Lund, Boys and Girls Club, and South Burlington Rotary.
