We’re preparing to upgrade the software VGS uses to manage customer accounts. These improvements will modernize our systems and support strong customer service for years to come. Here’s what customers need to know about the changes planned for early November 2026.
When a customer contacts VGS, the representative on the other end of the phone or email processes requests through a customer information system, or “CIS.” This system is separate from MyMeter, the online VGS Customer Account Portal customers use to access and manage their accounts, but the two platforms are connected behind the scenes.
As part of this upgrade, there will be a planned outage period, expected to run from November 4 through November 9, 2026, during which the MyMeter customer account portal will not be accessible. If you have a payment or automatic payment scheduled during this timeframe, it will still process as expected. Customers may also make payments through our automated payment system at 833-378-4331 while MyMeter is unavailable.
To support a smooth transition, we will temporarily limit non-emergency services during the outage window and minimize non-essential changes or updates to customer accounts. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience and will provide updates if there are changes to the planned schedule.
We expect most customers will not notice significant changes following the system upgrade. However, some customers who own or manage multiple properties may experience changes to how they receive bills. We will communicate directly with any impacted customers and provide support throughout the transition. Our teams will work to minimize any service interruptions along the way.
Additional information about the project and the planned transition will be posted on this page as it becomes available. We encourage customers to check back for updates as we move closer to implementation.
