VGS offers enhanced weatherization incentives for income-qualified homeowners to help reduce the cost of insulation, air sealing, and other energy-saving improvements. These upgrades can improve comfort, reduce energy waste, and lower energy costs while creating a healthier living environment.
Available Incentives
Households Below 120% of Area Median Income
Income-qualified households with income below 120% of Area Median Income may be eligible for incentives covering 75% of project costs, up to $7,000.
Households Below 80% of Area Median Income
Households below 80% of Area Median Income may qualify for additional assistance.
- Customers choosing to work with their own Building Performance Institute (BPI) contractor may be eligible for coverage of 90% of project costs, up to $9,500.
- Eligible households may receive 100% of weatherization project costs covered through Champlain Valley Weatherization Services.
